    To all Regional Response Team IX Members and Participants: Our upcoming meeting in Reno, Nevada is fast approaching and our draft agenda is included with this message. Our two-day general session will take place on December 1 and 2, 2010, at the Silver Legacy Hotel complex in downtown Reno, Nevada. The address is 407 North Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada, 89501. For those of you staying at the Silver Legacy, please make your reservations by November 15th, through the Group Reservations Department at 800-687-8733… please request our group code of ‘US EPA Meeting' to receive the special rate of $98.00 per night. If you are a member of the Executive Steering Committee, please note that our ESC Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 30th, at the Nevada Department of Emergency Management EOC beginning at 1PM.     Regional Response Team IX Meeting

    To Regional Response Team IX members and participants:   The next Regional Response Team IX meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 30th and Thursday, July 1st at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1800 Powell Street in Emeryville, California, 94608, beginning at 0900 each day.    On Wednesday we will have a special focus on the Deepwater Horizon Incident in the Gulf of Mexico - we will hear from individuals who are providing support to the response from the West Coast and those who have returned recently from a Gulf deployment.  Additionally, we will consider lessons learned to-date as they might apply to our own preparedness and response in Region IX, and we will examine the incident with regard to its broad implications both on the West Coast of the U.S. and Nationwide.   Our Thursday meeting has a lineup of equally interesting topics and speakers.  Your participation is encouraged both days, and we look forward to your engagement in our collaborative dialogue and strategic planning for preparedness and response in Region IX.      Should you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact me at robberson.bill@epa.gov or 415 972-3072.
