BORDER 2012 a.k.a. U.S.-Mexico Environmental Program
The U.S. Mexico Environmental Program (BORDER 2012) is a collaboration between the United States and Mexico to improve the environment and protect the healh and safety of the nearly 12 million people living along the border. The bi-national program focuses on cleaning the air, providing safe drinking water, reducing the risk of exposure to hazardous waste and ensuring emergency preparedness along the U.S.-Mexico border. (Note: Oil spill response in the maritime border regions is organized under the MEXUS Plan, a bi-national contingency plan.)

The Good Neighbor Environmental Board (US-Mexico)
The Good Neighbor Environmental Board is an independent federal advisory committee. Its mission is to advise the President and Congress of the United States on good neighbor practices along the U.S. border with Mexico. Its recommendations are focused on environmental infrastructure needs within the U.S. states contiguous to Mexico.
